Untangling The Trees: Revision Of The Calumma Nasutum Complex (Squamata: Chamaeleonidae)

A new study of our colleagues has been published, bringing light into the formerly collective species of Calumma nasutum, suspected to actually consist if several separate taxa for long time. The authors eedefine some taxa considered valid, describe new species and revalidate and redefine some other ones, put previously into synonymy:

(from Makira plateau to vicinity of Andasibe)

(Bealanana)
Calumma tijasmantoi
(between Ranomafana and Andohahela)

Revalidated and redefined taxa:
Calumma nasutum
(between Anosibe an'Ala and Andasibe)
Calumma radamanus
(Maroantsetra, Nosy Mangabe, Tampolo and Masoala)
Calumma fallax
(between Mandraka, Ranomafana and Andohahela)
