Kinyongia multituberculata in total and in detail
Kinyongia multituberculata is a chameleon species endemic to the montane forest zone of the West Usambara Mountains in Tanzania, specifically found at elevations between 1,500 and 2,000 meters. This species exhibits a flattened body with multiple prominent tubercles. Kinyongia multituberculata is largely arboreal, inhabiting the understorey and mid-canopy areas of its montane habitat. Its diet primarily consists of small insects. Due to its limited distribution and specificity to montane forests, Kinyongia multituberculata faces threats from habitat destruction and land use change. Conservation efforts are critical to safeguard its habitat and ensure the species' survival.
