Kinyongia fischeri, the rare Two-Blade-Horn Chameleon from Nguru, TZ

Kinyongia fischeri is one of the rarest reported Two-Blade-Horn-Chameleon species in the African continent. Described as first of all by Reichenow 1887, named after German herpetologist working in Hamburg, Johann Gustav Fischer (1819-1889).

    (Taita Hills)

  • K. matschiei

    (E Usambara)

  • K. multituberculata

    (W Usambara, feral in Karen, Kenya)

  • K. tavetana

    (Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru)

  • K. uluguruensis

    (Uluguru)

  • K. vosseleri

    (E Usambara)

There is still a series of undescribed taxa from this group on various mountains in Kenya and Tazania.
