Do Not Wake the Parson’s Up!

As we tiptoed through the rainforest, our beams illuminated these vibrant masters of disguise, who looked just as beautiful in their dreams. "What do you think they dream about?" I wondered aloud. My friend shrugged, peering into the trees."Maybe a planet full of flies and butterflies," he chuckled. "That they can munch on! They're so sweet!" Just then, we accidentally shone our light on one lounging on a branch. Its eyes shot open, mortified at being pulled from its sugary dreams. Let me tell you, waking a chameleon mid-snooze is a serious offense. We could practically hear it mutter, "Seriously, can't a reptile dream in peace?"
As we hurried away, I silently promised to never again disturb the Parson's slumbering chameleons.
