Chamaeleo dilepis Mating in E Usambara, TZ

The meaning of life is closely tied to reproduction and the transfer of genes to the next generation.
In chameleons, reproduction is an integral part of their existence; however, it is not often observed, and even less frequently recorded in situ on video. Chameleons generally lead secretive lifestyles, with many species having a restricted mating season that occurs just once a year. Although mating in chameleons can last several minutes or even longer, these behaviors are unique and rare to witness.
This is illustrated by footage of the Flap-necked Chameleon from the East Usambara Mountains in Tanzania, recorded by Rasta Mwera.
