Mt. Hanang is one of several ancient and isolated volcanic mountains that shape the landscape of eastern Africa. Located in Northwest Tanzania, Mount Hanang is home to the only known population of Trioceros hanangensis, also known as the Mount Hanang Dwarf Chameleon or Mount Hanang Chameleon, found at an elevation of around 2800 meters.
